Iowa Pushing for Statewide Online Casino Gambling

With mobile sports betting deemed a success in the state of Iowa, lawmakers are now pushing for legalization of online casino games.

BetAdrian offers a welcome bonus with a maximum $2500 - and a FREE NO DEPOSIT $20 SIGNUP BONUS.  Minimum bets just $1

There are concerns.

From Yahoo News:

There are concerns about how it might affect the state's brick-and-mortar casinos, which employ thousands of people and pay hundreds of millions of dollars in annual tax revenue.

It could also create a new wave of gambling addictions and social problems, Tom Coates, the director of Consumer Credit of Des Moines, told Axios.

Online gaming can create jobs, boost state tax revenue and spur technological innovation, according to iDevelopment and Economic Association (iDEA).

But Polk County Chair Angela Connolly told Axios that online expansion could be devastating to county finances.  That county is home to Prairie Meadows, where it is estimated that around 95% of sports bets are taking place off-site.

"We hope to stop it," she added.

Should this come to fruition, it won't be until 2022 the earliest.
