ABOUT IOWA STATE (9-9): Haliburton leads the team in scoring (15.9) and rebounds (5.9) while topping the Big 12 in both assists (7.4) and steals (2.5) after recording 20 points Tuesday - his highest output in five games. Bolton is the top scorer for the Cyclones in league play (14.8), just a smidge over his season average (14.7), and junior forward Solomon Young led the way with a career-high 27 points against Oklahoma State to improve his overall mark to 8.9. "That's probably his best game he's had since he's been here," Prohm told reporters of Young. "He was active, he was athletic, he guarded out of his area. He was terrific."
ABOUT AUBURN (16-2): Cambridge boosted his season average to 4.3 points with his breakout performance and told reporters: "I felt like I brought the energy today. ... (Pearl) told me to play with confidence, and I came out today and did that." Senior guard Samir Doughty tops the team in scoring (14.4), but has struggled with his shooting since the calendar turned to January - making just 28.8 percent from the field the past six games. Freshman forward Isaac Okoro is second on the team in scoring (12.6) despite failing to reach double figures three of the past four games and senior center Austin Wiley leads the Tigers on the glass (9.2).
