LSU Tigers Office Pool Strategy, Pick, Odds - 2019 March Madness
When making your March Madness office pool picks, consider the teams carefully. LSU Tigers, for example, should make it to the first weekend of play before facing either Maryland, Belmont or Temple. They are a +8 dog in their first game of the big dance.

Why They Go Deep
LSU is rated 20 by Sagarin. They would be a 1.5 point favorite facing Maryland, a 6 point favorite against Belmont and a 7 point favorite versus Temple.
They did beat Tennessee and Auburn. The Tigers looked fantastic against the Vols playing earlier on Selection Sunday. They also beat Kentucky.
LSU had the SEC's second-best offense.
They went a solid 19-12 Against The Spread and covered in seven of their last ten games (winning eight of those Straight Up).
From SevenDownSouth.com: "This team has won 26 games and a regular-season championship in a league that produced 7 NCAA Tournament participants, including No. 2 seeds Tennessee and Kentucky, both of whom lost to the Tigers in the regular season."

Why Be Concerned
Coach Will Wade was suspended on March 8 for comments reportedly made on a wiretapped phone call as part of the FBI's investigation into college basketball.
Guard Javonte Smart did return from suspension and score 13 points in 31 minutes in the Tigers' 76-73 loss to Florida in the SEC quarterfinals.
As good as the Tigers are on the offensive glass (fourth in nation), they are equally bad on the other end (271st).
ESPN also noted the following: LSU was a below-average offensive team when it faced zone defenses this season. It scored only 25.2 percent of its points beyond the arc (325th in nation) and while Waters led the team with 50 3-pointers, he connected on only 33 percent.
Even if they beat Maryland (this one is a toss up when it comes to office pool picks), MSU would likely be the team they face in the Sweet 16. That's where their Championship dreams will end.

Who They Will Play
They will be favored by 8 points playing Yale. Maryland is the best team they would face of three possible options assuming they make it past Yale, which does average 80 points a game.
