Chase, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, led all rookies in receiving yards and touchdowns his 1,455 yards, ranked No. 4 in the league, his 13 touchdowns ranked No. 3 and his 81 receptions ranked No. 3 among rookies.

Chase is seen as one of the main reasons Cincinnati is in this year's Super Bowl thanks to the explosive component he adds to the Bengals offense.

He has been named both "Rookie of the Year" and "Offensive Rookie of the Year" by the Professional Football Writers of America.

"What a legendary first season," Pepsi tweeted Friday. "Congrats to (Ja'Marr Chase), your 2021 #PepsiROY! See you at the Super Bowl #WhoDey"

When the Cincinnati Bengals drafted the former LSU wide receiver with the fifth overall pick last April, Chase said he wanted to break all of the team’s receiving records.

“That’s my goal,” Chase said on draft night. “I’m telling you right now -- I don’t know how I’m going to do it, but it’s going to get done.”

Before beating KC in the AFC Championship game Chase became the first Bengal to have multiple 200-yard games in the same season just a few weeks prior against those same Chiefs.

Chase also had 201 yards on eight catches in the team’s Week 7 victory over Baltimore.

And what about Chase's relationship with Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow?

Chase is one of Burrow's favorite targets. Not surprising as they were once college teammates.

"It ended up he's a guy that can make a difference in our offense. He's so explosive," Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan said of Chase's football talent. "To me, he's the best receiver that's come out in the last three years. He's worthy of that spot where guys like A.J. (Green) and Julio (Jones) were drafted. It's hard to pass up that kind of talent."

DR Congo has 1 point and likely needs a win to have a realistic shot at advancing as a third-place team. Uzbekistan has 0 points and must win to stay alive. A draw probably eliminates Uzbekistan and likely does very little for DR Congo.
