‘LeBron James of Poker’ Raked in $200K a Year Running Drug, Poker Ring
  • Geeta Singh dubbed herself the "Lebron James of Poker"
  • Was captured on wiretap making the claim
  • Singh was busted along with 32 others but is the alleged ringleader of illegal poker and drug den
  • Each of those involved individually made $200K a year according to court docs

A woman charged with running an illegal poker and drug ring has been extradited from Atlanta to New York.

Geeta Singh, originally from India, was captured on wiretap referring to herself as "The Lebron James of Poker".

She and 32 others were arrested last week for their alleged involvement in the West Village business that raked in some $200,000 a year over the past two years for each of those implicated.

Assistant District Attorney Mark Mohr described Singh as a lead promoter of the “private” poker club operated out of an apartment at 446 Avenue of the Americas who routinely reeled in new clients through "Meetup" ads.

“By her own comments...she was quite professional, at one point referring to herself as the ‘Lebron James of Poker,’ ” Mohr said at the hearing. “So this really was her business.”

Singh is currently out on bail awaiting trial.
