Liberty - Caleb Homesley scored 22 of his 30 points in the second half and Lovell Cabbil hit a go-ahead 3-pointer to send 12th-seeded Liberty to the first NCAA tournament win in school history, 80-76 over fifth-seeded Mississippi State on Friday.

Virginia Tech- Nickeil Alexander-Walker scored 20 points, Kerry Blackshear added 15 and fourth-seeded Virginia Tech earned its first NCAA Tournament win in 12 years by beating No. 13 seed Saint Louis 66-52 on Friday night.

Predictions

College Football News: "This is a good team for Virginia Tech to deal with. Mississippi State would’ve been a massive problem – considering its ability to hit the boards – but Liberty is a gritty quick team that shoots threes. The Hokies can handle that."

Virginia Tech 76, Liberty 67
Line: Coming, o/u: Coming

AthlonSports: "Entering this year's NCA Tournament, Virginia Tech was one of the sleeper teams that many thought could make a run towards the Sweet 16 and beyond. Although Liberty has the talent to make this game close, the Hokies' experience and overall athleticism make them the favorite on Sunday. The first meeting may have been an exhibition, but Virginia Tech should be able to produce enough offense against the Flames to propel them to the East Regional in Washington, D.C."   Prediction: Virginia Tech 73, Liberty 64

Action vs. Line Movement

Action was 60/40 Virginia Tech.  The line was trending -9 to -8.5.

Line

Hokies are a -8.5 favorite overnight Sagarin suggests a line of -12.
