The Norfolk District Attorney's office says 55-year-old Biqiang He died on Sunday, three days after an altercation with his wife, 46-year-old Huixian Liu, in Quincy.

Liu was arrested and pleaded not guilty to assault charges on Friday. She's due back in court on Friday.

Prosecutors say they will examine the existing charges in light of her husband's death and pending the results of an autopsy.

The Patriot Ledger, citing court documents in the case, reported the fatal stabbing occurred during an argument between the couple over an allegedly illegal gambling operation in Quincy. The records show the couple's daughter witnessed the incident.
