Oregon's Mario Cristobal is Leaving Ducks to Coach Miami Hurricanes

Mario Cristobal has been hired to be the next coach of the Miami Hurricanes.

BetOnline had Manny Diaz favored to be the next head coach fired in College Football but did not even have time to post odds on his replacement as the Cristobal move came so fast.

Diaz coached the Hurricanes for three seasons, posting a 21-15 record through his tenure.

Cristobal recently met with his players to inform them of his decision to head to Miami to become its head coach though he reportedly still contemplated staying in Oregon this past weekend. The Hurricanes announced it had fired head coach Manny Diaz on Monday morning.

During his time at Oregon, Cristobal had a 35-13 record. He led the team to three Pac-12 championship game appearances and two consecutive Pac-12 titles.
