Marlins vs. Braves

Trend Edge: Braves

Miami is 3-15 in the last 18 meetings in Atlanta and 2-8 in the last 10 meetings.

They've played good in recent days after starting the season winless in three.  They've crawled up to the .500 mark (3-3).

This one is priced just a little high at -162 and coming down from -182.  The line on this game had dipped as far as -150.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Marlins RH Pablo Lopez (1-0, 5.06 ERA) vs. Braves RH Kevin Gausman (2018: 10-11, 3.92)

Athletics vs. Astros

Trend Edge: OVER

Seven of nine matches between these two teams have resulted in eight or more runs.

The OVER is 16-5-2 in the last 23 meetings.

The line is moving between 8 and 8.5.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Athletics RH Frankie Montas (1-0, 1.50 ERA) vs. Astros RH Collin McHugh (0-1, 3.60)

Montas was outstanding in his season debut on Sunday, limiting the Los Angeles Angels to one run and three hits while striking out six without a walk in six innings. The 26-year-old Dominican went 5-4 with a 3.88 ERA in 13 appearances (11 starts) last year and won three of his four decisions on the road. Carlos Correa is 3-for-4 and Jose Altuve has recorded four hits in seven at-bats versus Montas, who went 1-1 while allowing Houston to bat .311 against him last season.

McHugh was solid in his return to the starting rotation on Saturday, when he struck out nine while permitting two runs on three hits and one walk over five innings in a loss at Tampa Bay. The 31-year-old native of Illinois made 58 appearances last season - all out of the bullpen - and registered a 1.99 ERA with 94 strikeouts in 72 1/3 frames. Semien is 10-for-26 with four doubles and a homer against McHugh, who went 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA and 11 strikeouts over 7 1/3 innings versus Oakland last year.
