Three of the known individuals who tested positive are staff members, one is a player.  Two players tested positive on Friday.

After learning of the first two positive cases Thursday night, the Cardinals said that they instructed all players and staff to self-isolate in their hotel rooms in Milwaukee until further notice.

The Cardinals' positives represented the first positive tests for baseball outside of the East Coast since the regular season started last week.

The Miami Marlins organization has been dealing with an outbreak over the past week that affected a handful of other games.  The positive tests occurred while in Philadelphia, however, the Phillies have been cleared to begin practicing again at Citizens Bank Park after all players tested negative.  No new positive tests showed within the Marlins organization Saturday.  Though a coach and clubhouse attendant for the Phillies did test positive, the organization believes those were both false-positives.

Twelve MLB games were still set to take place Saturday.

On Friday night, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred issued a warning that the season could be in jeopardy should teams fail to take Covid-19 protocols seriously.
