SportsBetting.ag was quick to latch onto the idea that Elon Musk's mention of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis running in the 2024 Presidential Election might have some sway with gamblers.  Everything the Tesla CEO - and potentially Twitter owner - says can plunge stocks, boost cryptos and, yes, even help out politicians.

With this in mind, SportsBetting reports their odds on DeSantis to be elected as the 47th President of the United States moved from 5-1 to 9-2 following Musk's remarks last week that he might vote for him.

The GOP nominee odds moved in favor of DeSantis as well: From 3-1 to 5-2.

The mention was rather tucked away beneath more pressing news of the day, but gamblers certainly took notice.

Someone on Twitter simply asked Musk if he intended to vote Republican in the 2024 presidential race, with Musk replying “tbd.”

“What are you leaning towards?” the user followed up.

“DeSantis,” he replied.

To be clear, SportsBetting's 2024 Presidential Election odds haven't seen heavy action of late as we are still a long way out.  The sudden influx they attribute to Musk's comment.
