NBA Best Bets - February 4, 2022
Here are the hot betting trends and some free picks for Friday night's NBA slate.
Cleveland Cavs vs. Charlotte Hornets
Gambling911.com has this one as a PICK'EM and leaning ever so slightly in the Cavs favor. The books have a different idea with Charlotte the -4.5 favorite. Darius Garland has missed the last two games for the Cavaliers, because of back issues. He is the team’s leading scorer and is listed as day-to-day. He's also one of the reasons for the 4.5 overlay in the line.
The Cavaliers (31-21) have won games without Ricky Rubio after the guard picked up a season-ending injury in late December. During their stretch of four home games, the Hornets will look to snap their two-game losing streak.
Cleveland has still won seven of their last ten games while Charlotte has won half of theirs.
Expect a correction here with the Cavs having gone 1-6 Against The Spread in their last seven.
This is a completely mixed bag when it comes to recent head-to-head trends.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Utah Jazz
Gambling911.com has a line of Utah -4 and that's what the books have as well.
Brooklyn is looking to avoid a 7th straight loss and this would typically not be the team for those types of expectations. However, Utah has lost six of their last eight games overall.
Utah is 5-1 Straight Up against the Nets in their last six meetings. All of those were by more than the current spread.
With Rest Advantage, Utah is 12-1 SU at home this season.
Utah is your play on the moneyline at -178
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Dallas Mavericks
Gambling911.com has Dallas -1 to -1.5. The books have the Mavs -2.
Philadelphia has won six of the last nine games in this series.
As a home favorite, Dallas is 14-4 Straight Up this season.
The 76ers are 8-0 Against The Spread in their last 8 games following a ATS loss and 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a Straight Up loss. They are also 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog.
The 76ers are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game.
The Mavericks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a Straight Up loss.
Dallas is the team that has lost two straight here. They've only lost three straight games on two occasions this season thus far. That doesn't exactly instill a sense of confidence.
