NFL Week 10 By The Numbers
After Week 10 of the NFL season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are still undefeated, and the New York Jets are still winless. The Arizona Cardinals beat the Buffalo Bills with a walk-off Hail Mary to create a three-way tie in the NFC West. What's even more amazing is that the Philadelphia Eagles lead the NFC East with a 3-5-1 record.
Week 9 saw five underdogs pull outright upsets, but a week later, the favorites won all but three contests. One of those was won by the New York Giants, pulling them even in wins with Philadelphia.
Tight Division Races
Every team in the NFC East is in contention, despite Washington and Dallas sitting at 2-7. The Giants defeated the Eagles 27-17, heading into their bye just one game out of the lead. With Washington's loss to Detroit, the division is a combined 2-18-1 against opponents from outside of the NFC East.
In the AFC West, the Rams beat front-running Seattle to forge a tie with the Cardinals and Seahawks. The three teams will be battling for the rest of the season for a shot at the division title. Seattle will need to continue to play defense the way it did in the 23-17 loss to contend.
The Miami Dolphins have won five games in a row and only trail Buffalo by a half-game in the AFC East. The last-second loss to the Cardinals brought the Bills back to the pack in the division. The Patriots, seven-point underdogs to the Ravens, pulled the 23-17 upset to remain in the division hunt.
The Colts and Titans entered their Thursday night clash as tossups, the first even spread of the season. In dominant fashion, Indianapolis pulled into a tie with Tennessee at 6-3 atop the AFC South, winning 34-17.
A sixth straight win was costly for New Orleans. The Saints lost quarterback Drew Brees to a rib injury in a victory over the 49ers. They hold a slim half-game lead on the Buccaneers, who doubled up the Panthers 46-23.

Everybody's Favorite
The favorites enjoyed a good week against the spread, going 7-5-1. The Saints recorded the biggest cover of the week as 9.5-point favorites.
The biggest line of the week was the 13.5-point spread Green Bay enjoyed over hapless Jacksonville. The 1-8 Jaguars made it tough on Aaron Rodgers and the 7-2 Packers and covered, but eventually succumbed 24-20.
In the Colts-Titans game, there was no favorite because of the even line. Straight up, it was a 10-3 week for the favorites. Of the three underdog victories, the biggest spread was in the Patriots' win over the Ravens.

Under Water
For one of the few times all season, the under bets took the week 8-5-1. The lowest-scoring game was Browns' lackluster 10-7 win over the Texans. The line on the game was 49.5 points, so it was a big miss on the low side.
The largest over cover was in the Cardinals' 32-30 win against the Bills. The over/under for the game was 49, a 19-point difference. It just beat out the 69 points put up by the Buccaneers and Panthers against a 50.5-point line.
