Heisman Trophy Odds
Top 5 Most Bet
1. CJ Stroud (10.2%)
2. Bryce Young (9.6%)
3. Will Anderson Jr. (7.8%)
4. Caleb Williams (7.1%)
5. Anthony Richardson (4.9%)
CJ Stroud is both the favorite to win the Heisman and the player seeing the most bets coming in. Stroud pays $300 on a $100 bet.
According to PFF, the Buckeyes player had the second-most touchdowns on play-action passes (19) in 2022. Only Hendon Hooker of Tennessee had more.
Stroud was a Heisman finalist last season, but missed out to Young.
“I just approach it like I’ve been doing since I got here," Stroud said. "I’ve always felt by God’s grace like I was a natural born leader, that he’s kind of blessed me with that ability. So I feel like I can relate to a lot of people in different situations. I just keep being myself, keep being unapologetically me and just understand my role."
Last year's winner, Tide quarterback Bryce Young was seeing nearly the same number of bets come in as Stroud yet pays almost double at 5-1.
The Alabama star posted a QB rating of 167.5 in 2021.
Caleb Williams had the second shortest odds to win the Heisman Trophy but was the 4th most wagered on.
The USC transfer was explosive last season for the Sooners, where he threw for 1912-21-4 while rushing 79 times for 442 yards and six touchdowns.
Wiliams is the favorite to win the Heisman for longtime ESPN college GameDay analyst Lee Corso.
"Williams has the best set of receivers in the nation," Corso commented. "And he will score."
Corso was so emphatic, he had to say it twice to be clear. "Williams wins the Heisman, Williams wins the Heisman!"
