Solid Summer Olympics for G911 Ends With a Bang Thanks to Women's Omnium

Brisk traffic for Gambling911.com throughout the Tokyo Summer Olympics culminated Saturday morning with the biggest boost thus far generated by the Women's Omnium, a cycling event.

Athletics and Cycling events have been especially popular among Gambling911.com readers.  The Women's Omnium was scheduled as the final Cycling event Saturday night Eastern Standard Time (Sunday morning in Tokyo).  It will be the most trafficked competition for the Gambling911 website.

The Tokyo Summer Olympics have resulted in the best late June/early August numbers in years for Gambling911.  US traffic was also between 45% and 51%, resulting in a rare period in which other world traffic represented slightly more than that of the US.  Saturday's traffic was 40% US traffic, a rare day in which other country traffic was significantly more than that of the United States.

Traffic out of Hong Kong, Australia and South Africa has also shattered records for Gambling911.com over this period.

"Combined, the two weeks worth of Summer Olympics only traffic was akin to multiple Super Bowls," noted Payton O'Brien, Gambling911.com Senior Editor. Outside of the occasional marquee UFC and boxing match as well as the Kentucky Derby, the Super Bowl is generally the most trafficked one-day sporting event in any given year.
