Golf is fast becoming one of the most bet on sports with Tiger Woods stunning victory at the 2019 Masters.  Bookies and agents are scrambling to ensure they have a pay per head platform that takes golf bets.

Tiger Woods Means Big Money

Tiger Woods 2019 Masters victory was the biggest futures loss for a number of sportsbooks.  Bookies will want to utilize a pay per head platform that offers plenty of live in-play betting action to help offset any losses should Tiger repeat.

More than half the futures bets will likely be on Woods.  Assuming he loses, the PGA Championship should result in big wins for bookmakers.

Woods had gone nearly 11 years since he won his last major, 14 years since that green jacket was slipped over his Sunday red shirt. He made it worth the wait, closing with a 2-under 70 for a one-shot victory and setting off a scene of raw emotion.

Woods was coming in between a 7-1 and 8-1 favorite to win the 2019 PGA Championship for a payout potentil of $800 on every $100 bet.

When asked what it was like to "come home",Tiger Woods responded that it was "unreal".

"You know, just the whole tournament has meant so much to me over the years," he said at the winner's press conference.  "Coming here in '95 for the first time, and being able to play as an amateur; winning in '97, and then come full circle, 22 years later, to be able to do it again, and just the way it all transpired today.

There were so many different scenarios that could have transpired on that back nine. There were so many guys that had a chance to win. Leaderboard was absolutely packed and everyone was playing well. You couldn't have had more drama than we all had out there, and now I know why I'm balding (laughter). This stuff is hard.

Yeah, just to come back here and play as well as I did and did all the things ‑‑ all the little things well this week, and to do it here. This has meant so much to me and my family, this tournament, and to have everyone here, it's something I'll never, ever forget.

Iowa State: Are They The Underdogs To Look For In March Madness?

They may be defined as “underdogs” or “Cinderella teams”, a term that is usually saved for teams that have little to no chance of winning even a single game during the NCAA Tournament. Teams like Loyola Marymount (1990), George Mason (2006), Davidson (2008), VCU (2011), UConn (2014), and Loyola Chicago (2018) come to mind when conversations turn toward the most surprising tournament runs in recent memory.
