Phil Ivey-Backed Virtue Poker Will Be Available in Most US States
Virtue Poker has joined the US online gambling and poker landscape. The site is backed by legendary poker pro Phil Ivey and will feature a play-to-earn system that is based around Virtual Player Points (VPPs) and takes full advantage of the blockchain.
Upon sign-up, players will be credited with 500 VPPs with payouts available via USD Tether (USDT).
Players can top up their accounts with a number of Ethereum-based tokens that will be locked into the platform’s smart contract as well.
Virtue Poker joins the likes of Americas Cardroom and Ignition Poker, sites that have not bowed to a chaotic and confusing regulation process in the US.
Using a combination of Ethereum based smart contracts and a Virtue Poker deployed sidechain, the site claims players are always in control of their funds.
It also features the world’s first and only GLI certified peer-to-peer shuffling protocol which includes all players seated at a table in the shuffling process. Only the players themselves can see their private cards.
In addition to Ivey, he is joined by fellow pros Dan Colman and Brian Rast.
Virtue Poker is licensed out of Malta.
