Purdue Bookies

Purdue bookies look to rebound after a relatively stunning turnaround where they had only won three games the year previous, They enjoyed a 7-6 Straight Up record in 2017.  The bookies in this region, however, were especially stung by the Boilermakers 9-4 record Against The Spread.  Using a top Pay Per Head would only have reduced losses last season.  Not using a Pay Per Head outsourcing service with software providing LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING and other loss leaders such as an online casino and futures props surely put some local bookmakers out of business in 2017-2018.

What is a Pay Per Head?

A Pay Per Head charges a nominal weekly fee per customer to run all aspects of your business.  YOU still have complete control however.  The difference is mostly seen in the savings.  That same customer would cost four or more times the amount in overhead if you opted to manage a book on your own.  Additionally, your customers now demand online access (something the PPH provides at no additional cost).  Many of today's sports bettors also want LIVE IN-PLAY BETTING where they can place wagers on the next touchdown scored, etc..  You as an independent bookmaker simply cannot offer this platform without the help of a Pay Per Head.

The new kid on the block, TopPayPerHead.com is a Pay Per Head business backed by some of the deepest pockets in the world of offshore sports betting. A full service Pay Per Head Solution being offered at just $4 per head or less.  LIVE IN-PLAY WAGERING is available.

Purdue Outlook 2018

Purdue is expected to win UNDER 6 regular season games, thus making for a more profitable year for area bookies.  Utilziing a top Pay Per Head will ensure an even greater profit potential while you focus on building your customer base.

The Current Climate of Sports Betting

The US Supreme Court abolished all previous sports betting prohibitions back in May, thus paving the way for individual states to amend their own laws. Some will (and alread have) welcome legalized sports gambling.  Others will not (i.e. Utah).

Indiana is leaning more towards full legalization of sports betting in the state though it is unclear whether they will allow online sports wagering outside designated establishments.  Any amendments to current laws will occur after the 2018-2019 College Football season.

For those bookies focused on college students, there is a catch 22.  Even if the state opts to allow legalized sports betting, wagers can only be placed by those 21 years or older.  Most college students are 18 to 21 years of age.  This of course provides bookies in the region with a terrific advantage.

Many of these bookies, however, will be college students themselves.  Student bookies run the risk of being thrown out of school in violation of university protocol and or bylaws.

Likewise, physically taking bets from others in the state could result in steep fines.  Because Pay Per Heads provide software that accepts wagers in jurisdictions where, not only is the activity legal, but the businesses are also licensed, the bookie incurs less risk.  Still, he or she must abide by local laws.  Operation of a wire room with large sums of cash on hand attracts unsavory characters, increases the likelihood of criminal activity and could prove destructive to the college community as a whole.  Pay Per Head businesses eliminate at least a good chunk of these undesirable components

The reality is that there will always be young people looking to book sports bets, just as there will always be young people engaging in sexual behaviour.  Sometimes it is better to encourage the use of safe sex practices for teens than to simply condemn the activity altogether.  Likewise, we want our college age young adults to be safe when involved in bookmaking practices.
