For anyone lucky enough to get down on the Toronto Raptors at the start of the season, they would pay out $140 on a $10 bet with a win.  As of May 30, the Raptors pay $25 for every $10 bet.  This price needs to be locked in now.

This marks the first time in the Raptors 24-year history they will be playing in the NBA Finals.  On the opposite end of the spectrum, Golden State will appear in their fifth consecutive Finals.

"Obviously, it's a great accomplishment, and we're happy to be taking that next step, but you want to win a championship, and you want to win the whole thing," Raptors guard Fred VanVleet said. "It's not about just making it to the Finals. We're not satisfied. We're not happy to be here. We're really hungry, and we want to go out here and have a chance to win it, and we've earned it, and we deserve it."

Finals MVP

Stephen Curry of the Warriors is the odds-on favorite to be named league MVP for the 2019 NBA Finals, but with a less attractive price.  $17 must be bet to win $10.  That $17 is refunded should he win, resulting in a $10 profit.  A $34 bet pays out $20 (the $34 refunded should he win).

Kawhi Leonard obviously has much better value paying $22.50 on a $10 bet.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
