On Tuesday, SportsBetting.ag posted a pared-down list of MVP candidates and odds. There are only 10 names on the betting board currently after nearly 50 players were listed for the preseason odds.
Mahomes started the season as the favorite to repeat with 5/1 odds while Russell Wilson had middle-of-the-pack odds at 25/1. Before the season started, Deshaun Watson, Baker Mayfield and Mahomes had generated the most bets to take home MVP honors.
Following Week 1, Mahomes had jumped to 3/1 while Wilson remained at 25/1. On October 1, Mahomes became the odds-on favorite with 4/5 odds, but Wilson has currently overtaken the defending MVP.
