Books Take a Hit With Seahawks Win, Cover Over Vikings Monday Night

The books took a hit Monday night with Seattle's win and cover hosting the Minnesota Vikings.

Books had Seattle as an early -3.5 favorite before settling in across the board at -3.  The Seahawks were seeing over 60% of the spread action.

They did little to encourage more action on Minnesota, suggesting an opinion here that the Vikings would cover.

Throughout much of the game this one stayed close and it appeared as if the Seahawks might shut out Minnesota until the waning minutes of the 4th quarter where most of the scoring took place.

As Gambling911.com noted ahead of this game, Sagarin indicated a line closer to -6.

Another big exposure for the week's NFL action, Baltimore, did come through with a cover Sunday.  The Steelers shock loss in Oakland did hurt a bit as the Raiders came into this game as a double-digit home dog and the betting public was willing to back them at that number.
