Both the House and Senate approved a measure that would permit sports gambling in stadiums, arenas, ball parks, casinos and race tracks while Chicago's two airports, O'Hare International and Midway, will begin installing slot machines.

The bill still awaits a signature from Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker, who has already declared his support.

Gambling expansion is only part of legislation that looks to bring more revenue to Illinois.  Assuming Pritzker signs off, recreational marijuana will also become legalized in the state.
