Welcome to Sports Betting in Montana: Cramped, Crying Babies, Hard to Find Kiosks

A popular professional sports bettor, Captain Jack Andrews, posted a pretty funny video on his Twitter feed this weekend exploring how legalized sports betting has evolved in the various states.

Noting that the pandemic had kept him away from the retail outlets over the past year, the Captain says "let's start at the bottom".

And that "bottom" is Montana.

Easy to see why.

In the video you can observe the cramped quarters, one or more screaming kids and finally the Captain comes across a sports betting kiosk tucked away in the back of the room.  They might as well have placed it in the cleaning supply closet.

Sports betting here is an Intralot monopoly.  Think Oregon and D.C.  Both are easy to forget and Gambling911.com reported on the most recent fail in the nation's capital.

In the video you might catch a glimpse of a promo for the Montana mobile sports betting app and think to yourself, "that's not bad, I don't have to place my bets along side some whiny little brat".  No, you still do.  The apps can only be used in premises that permit gambling on sports.  Maybe saves you a trip to the back of the room.

We can't wait to see the next stop on this journey.

Best UFC in BetOnline History

It's amazing how far BetOnline has come.  We were there the first week they opened their doors and ever since, the company has grown into one of the largest online bookmakers in the world.

UFC 264 shattered yet another record for BetOnline.

For Gambling911, UFC 264 ranks as the 3rd most trafficked event in terms of Web traffic in 2021 thus far, just barely missing passing by the January second installment of Dustin Poirier vs. Conor McGregor (UFC 257).  When one factors in early July being among the slowest periods of the year, it can be argued that UFC 264 did have better traffic numbers as the previous fight stats combined with NFL Playoffs traffic. The Mayweather-Paul exhibition fight last month drew double the traffic of either fight remarkably.

BetOnline has posted odds on who will fight Conor McGregor next below and available for wagering here.

Nate Diaz +140
Dustin Poirier +150
Jake Paul +600
Jorge Masvidal +600
Pac-Man +900
Mayweather +2500
Justin Gaethje +2500
Michael Chandler +2500
Nick Diaz +2500
Tony Ferguson +2500
Khabib +5000
