The highly anticipated BetBash in Jersey City was attended by nearly 300 people.  Gambling911.com had an opportunity to interview a few of the attendees, beginning with the one and only former New Jersey State Senator Raymond Lesniak.

Lesniak was single handedly responsible for getting legislation all the way to the US Supreme Court that ultimately resulted in today's legalized sports betting.

"It was a 12 year battle," the former state senator tells Gambling911's Thomas Somach.  "And I lost eight times in court".

Lesniak also revealed for the first time he was wagering on sports before the activity was legal.  Oh the humanity smiley

Of course we later had a chance to sit down with the event organizer Spanky, who reveals when the next Bet Bash will take place.

Thomas tells us that most of the attendees Spanky did not even know.  These were mostly people who dabbled in sports betting, heard about the event and were so excited to attend.

And a big shout out to all the Gambling911.com fans who were there.  We had a big shiny sticker placed on Somach so that he was recognizable.
