When making your March Madness office pool picks, consider the teams carefully.  The St. John's Storm, for example, might be eliminated quite early.  They are a +2 dog in their first game of the Madness.

Why They Go Deep

Not the best team in the Big Dance but they did manage to go 21-12 on the season Straight Up. St. John's does have an explosive scorer in Shamorie Ponds.  They will also face a suspect Arizona State team that could provide the Red Storm with a bit of a reprieve.

Why Be Concerned

14-18 Against The Spread, the Red Storm failed to cover in six of their last ten games.  They just narrowly got into the field of 68.

Who They Will Play

Arizona State.  The early line was a PICK'EM whereas Arizona State should be a -2 point favorite.

Sixers? Knicks? Who Can Challenge Boston in the East this Season?

As the new NBA season gets underway, there is most certainly a sense that the Boston Celtics are the team to beat once again. The 18-time champions really took an “if it’s not broken, don’t try to fix it” policy in the offseason, and it’s hard to argue with the tactic.
