Tacitus is the +150 favorite to win the 2019 Belmont Stakes with a payout potential of $15 for every $10 bet.

Tacitus finished 3rd in the mud at the Kentucky Derby in early May. This was his most recent race as he skipped the Preakness.
He will break from the number 10 post position.
Tacitus was considered superior to Country House, trainer Bill Mott’s other Kentucky Derby entrant. Country House went on to win the Kentucky Derby after Maximum Security was disqualified.
“Had Tacitus won the Kentucky Derby, I would suppose we would have taken a chance in the Preakness, but we didn’t feel like we wanted to run him back in two weeks,” Mott said.
Country House didn't race in the Preakness either as he came down with an infection.
