The team that scores first in a Super Bowl wins the big game more often. This option will always be favored, and with good reason as we will explain below.

Ahead of Super Bowl 2024, the team to score first in the Super Bowl has gone on to win the game 37 of 57 times, a success rate of 64.9 percent.

Other popular first score prop bets include the type of scoring play (touchdown, field goal or safety). A field goal being scored in Super Bowl 56 pays out $150 for every $100 bet while the touchdown is favored at -200.
