Trends:
- Tennessee is 8-2 in the last ten games of this series
- The favorite is 18-5 ATS in the last 23 meetings.
Predictions:
AL.com's Christopher Smith: Auburn is 14-2 at home, with a two-point loss to Kentucky and a five-point loss to Ole Miss. "The Tigers are also 2-7 against the top seven other teams in the SEC standings, including a home win against Florida, last on that list. "Tennessee is playing for back-to-back co-SEC championships, even though a tie in the final standings would mean LSU gets the No. 1 seed in next week’s tournament. The Vols also are playing for a potential No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. "Tennessee is tough to score against in the paint, so Auburn will be as reliant as ever on its 3-point shot against a team that does give up open looks from outside. A bad shooting day will doom the Tigers, although a good one won’t guarantee a win. "The Vols don’t turn the ball over and crash the offensive glass well enough to give Auburn trouble. Prediction: Tennessee 78, Auburn 73
Sports Chat Place Brett Nault: Tennessee has looked incredible in their last two wins against Kentucky & Mississippi State, however, the Volunteers have struggled in tough road games as of late, losing to both Kentucky & LSU, while barley getting the win at Ole Miss. Auburn is 14-2 at home this season and as I think their offense will be able to put up some points against the Volunteer defense, I'm taking Auburn and the point.
