The Open Championship Betting Odds - 2018

The Open Championship 2018 betting odds appear below with Dustin Johnson the favorite but still with long +1200 or 12/1 odds.

Johnson has not played since the U.S. Open, where he led by four shots at the halfway point and eventually finished third.

Jordan Spieth followed along with three others tied for the second shortest odds to win this year's Open Championship: Justin Rose, Rickie Fowler and Rory McIlroy.

“Coming to an Open Championship requires a lot of feel and imagination, and I think that’s what I’ve needed a bit in my game,” Spieth said. “I’d gotten very technical and very into making everything perfect instead of kind of the way I normally play. This week provides that opportunity where you don’t know how far the ball is necessarily going off the tee. You need to play to spots and then you have to use your imagination from there.”

The 37-year-old Englishman Justin Rose told the BBC: "Preparation, for me, is what it is all about coming into these big championships.”

"You'll get the odd guy who kind of flukes it round, but someone who has put the time and effort in to get prepared and figure out a gameplan and strategy in these conditions will be the guy who really does well."
