Three UFC Fights Online Bookies Should Set Max Betting Limits On in 2019

UFC is more popular than ever. Online bookie agents that don’t take advantage of UFC’s rising popularity could leave profit on the table.

That’s never a good thing. Check 3 upcoming UFC main events that will require max betting limits.

Saturday, March 9

  • UFC Fight Night: Lewis vs Dos Santos
  • Derrick Lewis +170 vs Junior Dos Santos -210

Lewis has a decent shot to beat Dos Santos. More importantly, the odds on either side shouldn’t discourage anybody from backing the fighter they like.

If they prefer Lewis, they’ll pound Lewis at +170.

If they prefer Junior, they’ll back him up with a ton of dollars.

Either way, bookies could be on the hook for huge payouts. The best course of action is to set max betting limits on Lewis at around $100. You can’t set max betting limits on Dos Santos at less than $210 or you won’t garner any action.

Saturday, March 30

  • UFC Fight Night: Barboza vs Gaethje
  • Edson Barboza -132 vs Justin Gaethje +107

Like Lewis versus Dos Santos, Barboza versus Gaethje is a major fight between two close to evenly matched fighters. Barboza gets the benefit of the doubt because he’s the more name fighter.

That doesn’t mean he automatically dominates Justin Gaethje on March 30, though.

It’s necessary to set max betting limits on both Barboza and Gaethje. Don’t set max betting limits at less than $100 on Gaethje.

Set Barboza’s max betting limits to no less than $132. If UFC players can’t make at least $100 on a wager, they won’t make the wager.

Saturday, March 30

  • UFC Fight Night: Barboza vs Gaethje
  • Edson Barboza -132 vs Dustin Gaethje +107
  • Saturday, April 13
  • UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier
  • Max Holloway -240 vs Dustin Poirier +190

It’s important to set max betting limits on both, but it’s hard to see Dustin Poirier beating Max Holloway. Holloway is 20-3 with a grappling accuracy of 83%. Poirier is 24-5. His grappling accuracy is only 41%.

The reason grappling accuracy is important in MMA is that most every fighter can strike. Grapplers that can strike like Holloway have an advantage.

Set max betting limits on Poirier, but non-risk averse pay per head agents should consider allowing more run, more dollars, to be bet on Dustin than they are on Max.
