How much is the Houston Texans quarterback Tyrod Taylor worth?  Four full points!  That's how much the oddsmakers have moved the line following news he'll be sitting out in Week 2.

Taylor injured his hamstring in Week 2 against the Cleveland Browns, will not play, Culley said.

BetAdrian and others have shifted the line from +3.5 to +7.5 Tuesday following confirmation of the news.

This line likely would have been closer to EVEN ahead of the 2021 season, but Carolina has exceeded expectations its first two weeks.  Houston has so far covered the spread in their first two games of the season, including a Week 1 outright win.

Texans rookie quarterback Davis Mills will make his first NFL start on Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers, coach David Culley said Tuesday.

Culley announced on Monday that Deshaun Watson will not be active for Thursday's game despite his team's lack of depth at the position.

The Texans could activate Jeff Driskel from the practice squad to back up Mills in Thursday's game.
