The underlays really came through strong last week for the dogs , primarily in the NFL.  Whether this trend continues remains to be seen. On Wednesday, Gambling911.com took a look at some of the early overlays and underlays in the NFL for Week 2.

We had a few falling mostly in this range, while pushing aside those games that fell exactly on the money at some point over the course of the week so far.  We're also not counting games that were also overlays at some point.

Miami Dolphins (20.58 ) Baltimore Ravens (23.91) = 5.85 (4.5 to 3.5) - Underlay 1.5 to 2.5

NY Jets (13.79)  Cleveland Browns (19.61) = 8.34 (6.5 to 5.5 but back and forth and varying per book) - Underlay of 2 to 3

Tampa Bay Bucs (27.06) New Orleans Saints (19.17) = Tampa 5.37 (-4 to -2.5) Underlay 1.5 to 3

Houston Texans (12.27) Denver Broncos (23.76) = 14.01 (-9 / -10 alternating) - Underlay 4 to 5

Atlanta Falcons (11.57)  LA Rams (24.42) = 15.37 (10.5 to 11) - Underlay 5 to 4.5

Chicago Bears (13.20) Green Bay Packers (24.25) = 13.57 (-8.5 to -10)  Underlay 5 to 3.5

Last week, NFL underlays were especially strong with all four dogs covering

San Francisco (22.97) vs. Chicago (11.88) = SF 8.59 (6.5 - 7 back and forth) Underlay 1.5 to 2 - Chicago wins outright

Indianapolis (22.91) Houston (11.43)  8.98 (Indy -9 to -7) Underlay 2 points - Houston covers

Giants (14.53 ) Tennessee (22.65) 10.62 (Tenn 5 to 6, 7.5 minutes before game time) Underlay 4.5 to 5.5 points - Giants win by 1

Denver (24.57) vs. Seattle (13.13) = 8.94 (Denver -6 to -7) Underlay 2 to 3 points - Underdog Seattle wins outright by one point

College Football results varied.

Louisville and Georgia State were two of the dogs where we saw underlays covering.

Wake, which won, is an example of a team that opened as a big underlay, but were coming in as an overlay of 1 point to close.

Underlays were not particularly common in last week's College Football slate.
