Updated Masters 2018 Odds After Round 1
Jordan Spieth sits atop the leaderboard heading into the 2nd round of the Masters 2018. He remained the favorite to win but now at 2/1. He had opened at 10/1 odds.
Tiger Woods, an early favorite, was now listed at 33/1 odds.
Tony Finau, 2nd atop the leader board, was also now at 33/1 odds. He had been at 75/1 odds.
Spieth shot a 6-under 66 on Thursday in the first round of the 2018 Masters, and he leads by two over Finau and Matt Kuchar.
"This golf course, specifically, brings out a lot of feel in my game, and I think that's advantageous," said Spieth. "I don't do well in domes or driving range shots, and you don't have many of those out here."
Woods labored to a 1-over round of 73 on Thursday in his return to competition at the Masters and sits seven strokes back of the leader.
The New York Times noted the following about Woods this Masters go-around.
In his previous 78 trips around Augusta National, Woods had played the course’s four longest holes in 150 strokes under par. On Thursday, he covered those par 5s in even par. It was only the fifth time in 21 Masters starts that Woods had failed to birdie at least one of those holes.
Woods returns to the Masters after a two-year absence due to multiple spinal operations.
Phil Mickelson, meanwhile, was listed at 14/1 odds coming into the second round of play.
Here are your updated Masters 2018 odds heading into Friday.
