Tawny Port promises early payout odds of $3000 on a $100 bet should he go on to win this year's Kentucky Derby.

Tawny Port is one of three horses being entered into this year's Kentucky Derby by premier trainer Brad H. Cox.  Cyberknife and Zozos are the two other entries.

Tawny Port enters the race having won the Lexington Stakes.  This particular race has produced two Kentucky Derby winners, the last of which was Charismatic in 1999.

His number 18 post position has produced a mere two Kentucky Derby winners.

The good news is that, of his five starts, Tawny Port has only finished worse than 2nd in one.   The Lexington Stakes on April 2 was his most recent race.  He had a 2nd place finish prior to that one at the Jeff Ruby Steaks -G3.

Tawny Port secured his Kentucky Derby spot with the Lexington Stakes win but would have made the field even without it having jumped up to a secure No. 11 on the leaderboard thanks to an additional 20 points.
