Irene Schouten is the favorite to win the Speed Skating 3000m Women's outright Saturday.
The first speed skating discipline of the 2022 Winter Olympics is the Women's 3000m, which will have the skaters line up in pairs and race against the clock nearly a two-mile distance. The Netherlands swept the podium in 2018.
Schouten is a Dutch speed skater who competes in allround, marathon, and inline-skating events. She finished in third place at the 2014 Dutch Allround Championships and qualified for the 2014 World Allround Championships in Thialf, Heerenveen.
Schouten is priced at -300 to win the gold in this competition.
