What Are The Odds to Win - Nebraska Cornhuskers vs. Illinois Fighting Illini - Week 1 College Football

The Nebraska Huskers are the -7 favorite playing the Illinois Fighting Illini.  The underdogs pay out $230 for every $100 bet on the moneyline.

This game was originally supposed to be played in Dublin, Ohio.  Instead it is being played in Champaign.

All the intensity coming into this game is on the dog with Bret Bielema assuming the head coaching position.  The oddsmakers will have none of it.  They list the Fighting Illini as winning no more than 4 regular season games.

While Illinois did beat Nebraska on the road last season, the Huskers are 4-1 in the last five meetings.  They only beat Illinois by four points (covering the current spread) in 2019.

Parker Fleming of BetUS believes the Illini will struggle in this game.

"I don't think that Illinois has a very good 3rd down defense.  Last year they allowed 41.8 percent third down conversions."

He adds: "A lot of uncertainty with Illinois plus a returning quarterback and a lot of continuity with Nebraska."

He sees the potential for a double-digit win by the Cornhuskers.

Nebraska only hit one OVER the entire season last year.

Get your bets in by 1 pm ET Saturday.  Live in-play available throughout the game.
