Therese Johaug of Norway was coming in as the -400 favorite in this one.

She has competed for the clubs Tynset IF and IL Nansen.  In world championships she has won ten individual gold medals along with three gold medals in relays and she is a four-time Olympic medallist.

In August 2019 Johaug competed in the Norwegian national athletics championship and won the 10,000 metres on 32:20.87.  She followed this up with a time of 31:33.15 in May 2021 falling just 8 seconds short of an Olympic berth.

Johaug was the first to win a gold medal at this year's Winter Olympics.  She obliterated the field to win the 7.5km+7.5km skiathlon.

Johaug was banned from Pyeongchang Winter Olympics as she was serving an 18-month suspension for a positive drugs test.

Jon Rahm Surges at PGA Championship

Jon Rahm was going for his third major win at the 107th PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina. He played great, proving he’s ready to be a top golfer again. After some ups and downs since joining LIV Golf in late 2023, Rahm shot an impressive 4-under 67 in the third round on Saturday. This strong round put him tied for fifth place, just five shots behind the leader, Scottie Scheffler.

Odds on UFC Abu Dhabi Released

The third fight for UFC Abu Dhabi was announced late Thursday with Petr Yan and Marcus McGhee being added to the card.  This fight will take place July 26.
