The Women's Parallel Giant Slalom Big Final in Snowboarding at this year's Beijing Olympics had Ester Ledecka favored to win gold at +135 odds.

Ledecka was the first Czech to win the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding at the FIS Snowboard World Cup.  She has also won gold medals at the 2018 Winter Olympics in the super-G in alpine skiing and in the parallel giant slalom in snowboarding. As a result, Ledecka became the first person to win two gold medals at the same Winter Olympics using two different types of equipment (skis and snowboard).

Sofiya Nadyrshina [ROC] does have short 4-1 odds to win this event. She is a world champion and a threefold junior world champion. On 9 January 2021, she won her first FIS World Cup title in Parallel Giant Slalom in Scuol.  At the 2021 World Championships, Nadyrshina won two medals: silver in Parallel Giant Slalom and gold in Parallel Slalom.  She also became the youngest World Champion in the latter discipline at the age of 17.

Theresa Ramona Hofmeister [GER] was coming in at 6-1 odds.   Hofmeister competed in the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she won a bronze medal in parallel giant slalom.
