What Are The Payout Odds to Win - Men's Giant Slalom Run 2 - Alpine Skiing - Beijing Olympics
Marco Odermatt is the odds-on favorite to win the Men's Giant Slalom Run 2 Alpine Skiing event at the Beijing Olympics. The odds are -105, practically EVEN money.
Odermatt finished in first place in this event at the 2021-22 FIS Alpine Ski World Cup.
Representing Switzerland, Odermatt competed for that nation at two Junior World Championships and two World Championships.
Odermatt is seen as the "next big thing in skiing".
In addition to winning four of the five World Cup races this season, he’s also won two super-Gs recently and finished second in the three toughest downhills: in Bormio, Italy; Wengen, Switzerland; and Kitzbühel.
“For sure a medal will be the goal,” Odermatt said.
There is quite the margin between Odermatt and the next shortest odds. Manuel Feller and Alexis Pinturault both sit at +850.
