Following Notre Dame's big win over Wisconsin, we will see the Badgers team rating take a nose dive.  Michigan beat Rutgers by a touchdown and this should boost their rating further.  Remarkably, had Wisconsin not have lost so badly to the Fighting Irish Saturday, Michigan would only be a -1 favorite coming into the Week 5 game.

What The Line Should Be on the Michigan vs. Wisconsin Game

We are anticipating the Badgers to fall to around 30th for a rating of 77 while Michigan rises a bit to overtake Clemson's 87.51 prior to their loss to NC State.  That leaves us with an early line of Michigan -7.5The opening line on this game was actually Wisconsin -3.5.

So What The Hell Happened to Wisconsin?

Graham Mertz threw four interceptions for Wisconsin (1-2), including two that were returned for touchdowns in the final 2:30 to blow the game open. Notre Dame scored the final 31 points and the Badgers lost their seventh straight to a ranked team.

Running back Chez Mellusi called the collapse "embarrassing."

While Mertz did throw his first touchdown of the season, he was otherwise ineffective.  He went18 for 41 for 240 yards.  And Mertz is just one of the Badgers offensive problems.

Coach Paul Chryst said he needs to call better plays to put his quarterback in position to succeed.

"We know that we're inconsistent, that it's a struggle and the best way to approach that is to own our part in it and then together we can try to fix it," Chryst said.
