What The Line Should Really Be On The Notre Dame vs. Wisconsin Week 4 Game

Notre Dame is ranked higher on the AP Top 25 than Wisconsin with their 3-0 record (the Badgers are 1-1).   The Fighting Irish, however, are looking in on the Top 25 from the outside in terms of team ratings.

The Irish come into this game as a +6.5 underdog.  Early support by bettors appears to be on Wisconsin.  The line has moved from -5.5 to -6.5 as a result.

The Fighting Irish defense improved in Saturday's game against Purdue. The Irish had three sacks and intercepted two passes.  Still, this is a team considered a work in progress as is evidenced with their 1-2 record Against The Spread.

Wisconsin will need a win against Notre Dame.  They'll be facing a much tougher Michigan team in Week 5.

Playing on a neutral field (Soldier Field in Chicago), there is no true home advantage.  In fact, Madison is further away than is South Bend.  Sure Badgers fans can be found at the nearer Wisconsin border.

Gambling911.com has the line at Wisconsin -6, so oddsmakers are pretty dead on here.
