The Astros were the favorite to win the World Series as of Mid-April. There are a number of other teams with solid fan bases in and around the Houston area including College Football, NBA and of course the NFL.

After winning last year's World Series, the Houston Astros can claim one of the biggest fan bases in Major League Baseball.

FanSided took a worldwide poll of the Top 250 fanbases in the world and only 11 MLB teams made the cut with the Astros coming out on top.
