Why Iowa State Could Cover The Spread Against UNLV Week 3

Iowa State is a big -32 point favorite against UNLV and you can get them at -31 at BetOnline.

While we won't tough this one with a 10 foot pole, there is reason to believe ISU can indeed cover.

It's almost certain that the Cyclones will win this one outright.  But if they fail to cover the spread, UNLV walks away with a 3-0 record Against The Spread despite having ZERO wins this season.  That's not good oddsmaking.

Gambling911.com has the line at -26 but it is easy to see Iowa State scoring that additional touchdown.

Pete Flutak of College Football News:

"This is the reset button that needs to be pushed.  UNLV hasn’t been able to move the chains, it can’t stop teams from going on long marches, and the offensive line has been a disaster in losses to Eastern Washington and Arizona State."
