While the US Supreme Court has now made sports betting legal in the United States, Oklahoma residents will not be able to bet the games in any of the state's casinos for the upcoming 2018 College Football season. Do not dispair as a few dozen of internationally licensed sportsbooks will accept wagers on the upcoming NFL and College Football season.
WILL OKLAHOMA WELCOME SPORTS BETTING IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
Oklahoma, unlike its bigger neighbor to the south Texas, is likely to embrace sports betting, just not for the 2018 College Football season.
Oklahoma currently has casino gambling, some 130 to be more precise. These range from small annexes attached to gas stations to larger establishments such as WinStar Casino right across the border from Texas.
Oklahoma’s Native American tribes run the casinos and would oversee sports betting in the state as well. Oklahoma's legislature, however, would have to reach an agreement on how to do that.
