The William Hill sports betting app in New Jersey was reported down late Wednesday, much to the dismay of those trying to get in their night time basketball wagers.

It was not immediately clear what was causing the issues with the William Hill New Jersey betting site or when it might be back up.

Those attempting to access received the following message:

William Hill is one of nearly a dozen sports betting sites that set up in the Garden State after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled to abolish decades of prohibition against the activity.

New Jersey was among the first states to offer sports betting.  Most states must amend their laws in order to adapt.
