And the Terriers have saved their best for last. They have covered the spread in nine of their last ten games.
On Saturday, they look to advance to the Sweet 16. But they'll have to accomplish this feat versus 5-point favorite Kentucky.
Wofford guard Fletcher Magee calmly made his 505th career 3-pointer, setting an NCAA Division I record in the process. The senior from Orlando, Florida, with the smooth shot made seven 3s total and scored 24 points in an 84-68 win over Seton Hall in the first round of the NCAA tournament Thursday night, helping the Terriers to their 21st straight win.
Predictions for Wofford vs. Kentucky
CBS Sportsline: "But just because the Wildcats are loaded with playmakers doesn't mean they'll cover the Kentucky vs. Wofford spread and advance in the 2019 NCAA bracket.
"Wofford is the second-best 3-point shooting team in the nation. Fletcher Magee just set the all-time NCAA record for 3-point field goals with 509 for his career. Magee hit seven of them against Seton Hall, passing Oakland's Travis Bader for the record.
"However, Magee isn't the only weapon for Wofford. The Terriers shoot 41.7 percent from beyond the arc as a team and Nathan Hoover (46.1 percent from 3-point range), Storm Murphy (47.5 percent) and Tray Hollowell (41.6 percent) can all fill it from deep. It's been the great equalizer for Wofford all season, and if Kentucky can't find a way to run the Terriers off the 3-point line, it could be a long game."
Mark Story of the Lexington Herald-Leader is going with a 73-65 win for Kentucky.
TeamRankings expects a close battle, projecting a 72-66 win for the Wildcats.
numberFire thinks the margin will be even closer, as they have Kentucky escaping with a 72-70 win.
KenPom gives Kentucky a 67% chance of winning and projects a final score of 72-68 for the Wildcats.
