New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will have an MRI exam on his right knee Saturday.  The team is hoping Wilson avoids a season ending injury.  The Jets 2022 regular season win total was pulled off the board as of Saturday morning as sportsbooks await further news regarding Wilson's injury.

On their second offensive series, Wilson's knee appeared to buckle in a noncontact injury as he scrambled out of the pocket. He limped to the locker room with 3:43 remaining in the first quarter.

The Jets declined to provide any specifics, except to say Wilson's ACL is "supposed to be intact," coach Robert Saleh said.

The team has three other quarterbacks on its roster: Joe Flacco, Mike White and Chris Streveler.  Flacco would be the most likely to replace Wilson for the regular season should he be unable to return right away.

Flacco would also go up against his former team, the Baltimore Ravens.  He led them to a Super Bowl championship in 2012.

"You guys know how I feel about Joe," Saleh said. "Everyone does, the whole world knows. Joe is a phenomenal football player. He's having a great camp and he has a lot of juice left in the tank."

The Jets were listed as a +7 home dog as of Saturday morning.

Wilson, the No. 2 overall pick in 2021, missed four games last season because of a sprained PCL in the same knee.
