Aaron Rodgers appeared on "The Pat McAfee Show" at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday with many wondering if he would announce a move to the New York Jets.

That didn't happen.  Instead, Rodgers said that "today isn't decision day".

Rodgers did relay to McAfee he told the Jets organization that he is not ready to make a decision just yet.

Nevertheless, he did say his desire is to play for the Jets.

"I made it clear my intention was to play and to play for the New York Jets, and I haven't been holding anything up. It's the compensation that the Packers are trying to get. ... The Packers want to move on and have let me know that in so many words," he said.

That was likely enough to prompt the oddsmakers at BetUS to move the Jets into the 8th position among the shortest odds to win the Super Bowl Wednesday afternoon.  The Jets pay $1000 on a $100 bet.

One thing is known: The Jets are actively pursuing Rodgers.

On Tuesday, the Jets announced a deal for another player that could help to lure the Packers QB.  That team secured one of Rodgers longtime wide receivers, Allen Lazard.

The Jets and Lazard agreed to terms on a four-year, $44 million contract.

Rich Cimini of ESPN writes:

The agreement should make Rodgers happy, as Lazard was one of the names on a free agent wish list he submitted to the Jets, sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini.

As of late Monday, the Rodgers reported trade was not yet official.

Sports journalist Trey Wingo first reported on the anticipated move while a number of Jets players were hinting at it via their own Twitter pages.

The Packers were surprisingly middle-of-the-pack in terms of odds to win the 2024 Super Bowl at BetUS.

Jimmy G to the Raiders

Sources told ESPN's Dianna Russini and Adam Schefter of the Jimmy Garoppolo move to the Las Vegas Raiders Monday morning, one of the blockbuster trade reports that surfaced this week.

Garoppolo, 31, played well last season for the San Francisco 49ers but ultimately ended up sidelined with an injury.  His reworked one-year deal prevented the Niners from using the franchise tag on him this offseason after San Francisco made so much noise the previous season trying to offload him.

In his time Spent in San Francisco, Garoppolo threw for 13,599 yards with 82 touchdowns and 42 interceptions while completing 67.6% of his passes. In his 63 starts (including the playoffs), the Niners went 42-19.

The Raiders odds will certainly move in the right direction while having zero impact on the 49ers futures as it was already a foregone conclusion they'd be parting wasy with Garoppolo.
