Ashley Moody Winning Margin Over Angie Dixon in Florida Senate Race as Man Charged With Threateing to Behead Voters

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (Gambling911.com) - The oddsmakers don't think Democrat Angie Nixon will win her respective Senate race against Republican candidate Ashley Moody.

Instead, they are now offering a total of 7.5 over/under on Moody's win margin.  Nixon pays $800 for every $100 bet should she pull off the upset.

ActiVote’s October 15, 2026 Florida U.S. Senate poll finds that Republican Ashley Moody leads Democrat Angie Nixon by 6.2%. The poll was in the field between September 27 and October 15 (median field date of October 6). The poll was among 400 likely midterm voters and has an average expected error of 4.9%.

The Florida Senate race made headlines for all the wrong reasons on Monday.

A former failed congressional candidate, Elijah Manley, is accused of threatening to behead Democrats who wouldn't back Nixon. He faced two felony charges.

According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Local 10 News, Manley allegedly posted a series of increasingly hostile messages on August 20, including one warning Democrats to fall in line behind Nixon or face violent consequences.

“Every democrat needs to get behind the democratic nominee for Senate,” one message stated. “Anybody not doing that, I promise you I’m going to cut your f—ing head off.”
