Forget the Minnesota Vikings vs. Green Bay Packers NFL game of the weekend, 2009 World Series betting is in full swing and will dominate the wagering scene to be certain.

"Already our traffic for the World Series was the most of anything else featured on the Gambling911.com website," reported Payton O'Brien of Gambling911.com.

While baseball itself is one of the least bet on sports in the States, the same does not hold true for the World Series.

"We've had people looking for 2009 World Series betting odds throughout the regular season, and, yes, they are still available."

At Bookmaker.com, the best payout odds came with predicting the exact series outcome:

NYY 4 : 0 +475 (a Yankees sweep would pay out $475 for every $100 bet at Bookmaker.com)

NYY 4 : 1 +500 (pays $500 for every $100 bet)

NYY 4 : 2 +300 (pays $300 for every $100 bet)

NYY 4 : 3 +380 (pays $380 for every $100 bet)

PHI 4 : 0 +1100 (pays 1100 for every $100 bet)

PHI 4 : 1 +980 (pays $980 for every $100 bet)

PHI 4 :2  +700 (pays $700 for every $100 bet)

PHI 4 : 3 +600 (pays $600 for every $100 bet)
